This Cookie Policy explains how Nouvos Solutions LLC ("Nouvos") and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://ggambit.com or otherwise use G.G. Gambit. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, and display preferences) over a period of time. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, software development kits (SDKs) embedded in mobile applications, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as signing in, setting your privacy preferences, or filling in forms. You cannot disable these cookies through our Service and still use it. Examples:
- Authentication tokens issued by our auth provider (Supabase).
- CSRF and session cookies used to maintain secure state.
- Cookies that remember your acceptance of this Cookie Policy.
2.2 Functional
Enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering preferences you have set (theme, default role view, language, currency). If you disable these cookies, some features may not work as smoothly.
2.3 Performance and analytics
Help us understand how Users interact with the Service so we can improve it. These include aggregated counts of page visits, feature usage, error rates, and performance metrics. Where required by law, these are set only after you grant consent.
2.4 Marketing
We do not currently use cookies to deliver targeted advertising on third-party properties. If we begin to do so, we will update this Policy and obtain your consent where required by law.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us. These may include:
- Stripe (payment processing) — sets cookies required for fraud prevention and to maintain checkout state.
- Hosting and edge providers — set cookies needed to route requests and protect against abuse.
- Analytics providers — if enabled, may set cookies to measure aggregated usage.
These third parties operate their cookies in accordance with their own policies, to which we are not a party.
4. How to Manage Cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through the browser's settings. Common interfaces include:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will likely prevent you from using parts of the Service that require authentication.
5. "Do Not Track" Signals
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry consensus on how such signals should be honored. We currently do not change our practices in response to these signals. REVIEW Confirm with counsel whether this aligns with our intended California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) posture.
6. Mobile Application Identifiers
The G.G. Gambit mobile application uses platform-level identifiers (such as Apple's IDFV or an Expo-generated installation ID) to maintain session state and deliver push notifications. You can revoke push permissions in your device's settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material updates will be communicated as described in our Privacy Policy.
